"I am Greg Finch; We are Professional Jewelers, and We will always be here for you."
Whether by fate or by great accident, Greg Finch became involved in the jewelry industry in 2016 after he sold his part of a previous business venture and was then given the opportunity to re-open Professional Jewelers in a building he purchased in Athens, TN.
After acquiring the rights and business name from the previous owner, Darrell Malone, Greg’s clear vision was laser-focused with one idea and goal in mind, "To be the best jewelry store in the industry". He then started to immediately form relationships with key people in the jewelry business and quickly found out that by combining his strong work ethic, great relationships, and perseverance, his dream, and vision were going to become a reality.
That same year Greg graduated from New Approach Bench Jewelers School. He went on to become a Certified Jewelry Professional with the Gemological Institute of America in 2020 and was subsequently selected to attend stone-setting school at Stuller Corporation where he has completed coursework and will attain the honor of being a Master Stone Setter.
Greg has also been accepted by GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the leading jewelry school in the world, to achieve and attain a diploma of Graduate Gemologist. Greg has also completed coursework on diamonds from the International School of Gemology and Colored Stones from the International Institute of Insurance Appraisers. In 2018, Greg acquired his second Professional Jewelers location in Knoxville, Tennessee, and a third location is on the horizon in Greg’s hometown, Madisonville, TN. Most recently, Professional Jewelers was accepted as a member of the Jewelers of America, one of the most prestigious organizations in the industry. Greg says, "while we have grown extensively, we will always stay true to the most fundamental resource that keeps us in business, and that is our customer". Enriching the local areas they serve, and on a national level through involvement in non-profit organizations, and by offering inclusive events, Professional Jewelers stands out as a pillar in the community.
